THE ORGANISATION AND OFFICE BEARERS

The Organisation
The Police Association, subject to its own rules and constitution consists of an Executive Committee who manages the day-to-day affairs of the Association.
The Executive Committee consists of two groups -

(a) Office bearers elected biennially by a statewide ballot who are -

  • (i) President
  • (ii) Vice President
  • (iii) Deputy Vice President
  • (iv) Treasurer
  • (v) Three trustees

(b) Branch delegates who are elected by members of the Branch to the Executive are -

  • (i) Branch Chairman
  • (ii) Branch Secretary

Branch Office Bearers

In each district of the Police Service throughout the State there is established a Branch of the Association. Branch officials and the Branch Committee are elected biennially (but alternative year to Executive Committee) by financial members within the district of which the Branch is formed. Branch Office Bearers are as follows:

Branches are formed in the following districts - Southern District, Northern District, Eastern District, Western District and Officers' Branch, which is a state wide representative Branch..
